Topic #8

I feel that I have earned an A or at least a B(+) in this class. I have done my work on time, as proven by the online quizzes and this blog, and made sure that I put effort into every assignment. Even though I had a bit of a rough spot with this blog, I contacted my instructor and continued to try and figure out why it would not work for me. This blog was a part of my grade, and I personally want to do all of my work on time because it is important to my grade and myself. I think that at least my quiz grades reflect that - after the class, you could find me working hard on each of them.

I also have read all of the assigments and, maybe most importantly, remembered what I read. I have every first and second draft of the essays we were assigned, and the feedback that I got was positive - as my instructor said, I was able to engage the reader in the essays. My writing skills I feel are decent, and I have learned some things from Grammar Snobs are Great Big Meanies this semester as well as thought about some different things after reading the essays in the course reader.

While in class, I would pay attention despite appearances. I guess this would be hard to prove, but if I were asked about the basic premises about the readings and what we did that day, I would be able to answer. These things like reading on time and paying attention in class may be difficult to measure, but the fact that I am still at Otis in the second semester should prove that I am willing to work and I would not risk my education by slacking off and not doing my work to the best of my ability at that time.
