Topic 2 ecological aesthetics/ sustainability

I think there are a lot that could be done in my field of art, Interactive Product Design, to help the environment and promote an eco-friendly community. One of the major theme in my field is product designing, which means we have the opportunity and the privilege to make a sustainable product for the future. We can enhance school curriculum to learn about material qualities and have classes where we could learn about recycling and degradable materials. This would allow future designers to interact with our issues and problems we have today on material wastes. Most trash, which are over flowing today, are hard to recycle and make use of it after people throw them away. I believe this is one of our responsibility as a designer to be able to make mass produced products recyclable and handy for the community afterwards. If all product designer keep this in mind as they design their products I think it will help reduce the mass trash we have today and make it a better environment.
