Art school is a very prestigeous place to study. Being excepted into college gives us a reason to work hard to keep our grades up. With all the art projects and stuff, doing papers comes second to importance and can even bring someone to cheat to get them done. The incentive we have to prevent us from doing this are the repercussions. Like being expelled and/or failing the grade. I beleive that most of us know that we need our english class to succeed in our careers and figure it is worth the time and effort. The good incentive is doing good in class and getting good grades and leaving Otis with a good GPA allowing us to get a good career.

i agree with Tracy. I agree so much so that i would copy and past her answer into mine but that is plagirizism. Which is exactlly what i do not want to do. Grades matter in all classes. Papers are a little less exciting for Fine Art or Fashion majors because we dont expect to be writting full on essays when we find a carrer that fits us. Due to the incentives in Freakonomics i would not want to be lazy on a paper and get kicked out of my dream school.
