Topic #6

I agree with Feldman because as people become more wealthy, they tend to take things for granted and think they are entitled to certain things. Somehow, the amount of money they have makes them above paying for something like a bagel.
As the income levels increase, chances are that they are working in increasingly large places, which naturally makes it easier to cheat out of paying because it would be like trying to find a needle in a haystack. It is much simpler to grab a bagel and leave with it unnoticed because of the amount of people. The anonymity lets people feel more confident about doing something that is not quite moral because it is much less likely that they will ever be identified. This is evident in studies of crime rates in rural areas and in cities, like Freakonomics noted. Outside influences also affect the amount of cheating that goes on, but in a business environment, it can depend on whether or not the employee even likes their job (and boss) to begin with.
Maybe the reason they got that job and make as much money as they do is because they would cheat others out of their money.
