Where does your art or design fit within the future of ecological aesthetics and sustainability?

Apparently Otis have not created a eco-friendly environment yet. Me as an example, we were never asked to do any recycle project, in form and space, we've used massive amount of cardboards and wood and once we're done with the project we could just dump it to the trash; which is total eco-unfriendly. In color and design and painting, we use large amount of paints and water but we never have a place to recycle it; it is a severe pollution to the ocean. But now we're assigned a project to improve Otis environment into a more eco-friendly place for color and design class. Hopefully our efforts would, at least, raise the community's awareness to our nature in order to improve into a green world. I'm going into fashion. I believe that eco-effectiveness in use of fashion could promote the idea of "green" effectively since it's such a great power to impact the public. Organic materials for clothing is now a big trend in the world of fashion and I hope to improve more; for example, to make more varieties of organic textile. Also, there's a such massive production in the manufacturing of clothing; but at the same time there's also the same amount of abandonment of clothing. I think the field should work on how we should recycle the clothing. Maybe invent a way to turn the clothing into recycled fabrics.
